DAFVM Spotlight Employee: Antionette Roberson
Antionette Roberson does not like to be told she cannot do something. She will always prove to herself and others that she can. Roberson is the administrative assistant for the CVM Department of Basic Sciences. Roberson’s favorite aspect of her job is the people. “I really enjoy working with people. I love working with the students in our department,” she said.

When Marquita Sinclair Thomas sees bright smiles on the faces of the children she works with, she knows all of her hard work has paid off. Thomas is a program assistant for the Mississippi State University Early Years Network. She provides assistance to the reference and referral center, prepares everything needed for the early childhood center and helps with office management.

University announces Super Bulldog Weekend lineup
The 31st annual Super Bulldog Weekend, a Mississippi State spring homecoming tradition featuring three days of athletic events, will take place April 15-17 on the MSU campus. Men's Golf starts play Monday at the Tiger Invitational in Opelika, Ala. ... Softball hosts Penn State at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, and then opens play at the Louisville Slugger Invitational in Long Beach, Calif., against UC Santa Barbara on Friday at 1:30 p.m. ... Baseball hosts South Alabama at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, and then hosts Oregon at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, at 2 p.m. on Saturday, and at 11 a.m. on Sunday... Men's Basketball will be in Nashville for the SEC Tournament, which begins Wednesday at Bridgestone Arena... Track & Field sees the start of the NCAA Championships in Birmingham on Thursday... Soccer is on the road for an exhibition against UAB on Friday at 6:30 p.m. ... Men's Tennis hosts Kentucky on Friday at 5 p.m. and Tennessee at 1 p.m. on Sunday... Women's Tennis visits College Station on Friday for a 5 p.m. match against Texas A&M, and then travels to Baton Rouge to play LSU at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

NACDA names Stricklin AD of the Year
Scott Stricklin was named a winner of the 2015-16 Under Armour Athletics Director of the Year Award last week by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics. “Scott Stricklin’s leadership of Mississippi State University’s athletics has been marked not only by unprecedented growth and success in many sports, but by significant and steady improvement and sophistication in our facilities and our game day experiences,” MSU President Mark E. Keenum said.
Assistant VP for enrollment forums continue
The search committee for the assistant vice president for enrollment invites all Mississippi State faculty, staff and administrators to attend candidate seminars that resume Monday in Colvard Student Union's Fowlkes Auditorium. The three remaining sessions will be livestreamed online, and the first session is available for replay.
Open forums set for international leadership post
The search committee for the Associate Vice President, International Programs/Executive Director, International Institute position invites interested faculty and staff to attend the candidate seminars beginning this week. Each open forum will take place at 10 a.m. in Colvard Student Union's Fowlkes Auditorium.
