Kids’ favorite Daniel Tiger to make MSU Riley Center his neighborhood Jan. 26

Little ones will delight in seeing Daniel Tiger and his friends singing and dancing on stage as the MSU Riley Center in downtown Meridian presents its latest family show, “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood,” at 7 p.m. on Jan. 26.

This live musical version of the animated PBS TV series of the same name is aimed at preschoolers ages 2 through 4. It stars the 4-year-old Daniel Tiger and his friends O the Owl, Katerina Kittycat, Miss Elaina and Prince Wednesday. They explore the Neighborhood of Make-Believe with the help of Trolley. They share some laughs and some serious moments as they learn practical skills and strategies for growing up and learning.

The show sprang from the beloved children’s series “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood.” Daniel speaks directly to his audience, inviting them into his world and serving up the show’s life lessons with lots of creativity and fun. Daniel’s young fans will be singing along. Quite a few of their parents and grandparents will too.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $12 for students at the MSU Riley Center Box Office, which is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets can be purchased online at www.msurileycenter.com or by calling the box office at (601) 696-2200.
