Jones honored with lifetime achievement award
A founding faculty member of Mississippi State’s College of Veterinary Medicine posthumously is being honored by the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia. Dr. E. Wynn Jones of Starkville, who died in April at the age of 92, has been awarded a lifetime achievement award.

High rating for Adkerson School of Accountancy
Mississippi State University’s Adkerson School of Accountancy’s graduate and undergraduate programs are once again rated among the nation’s best by a leading accounting newsletter. The 2016 Commerce Clearing House Public Accounting Report ranks both the Adkerson School of Accountancy’s master’s and undergraduate programs No. 3 nationally among programs with 15 or fewer fulltime faculty, up from No. 14 and No. 12 rankings in 2015, respectively.

Tucker donates papers to MSU Libraries
If Neely Tucker had to describe himself in five words or less, “Mississippi” and “Mississippi State” would be among them. “To be accepted back home and embraced in a very formal way by the university I love the most... a place that is more of my heart than I could say... is great. Thank you for one of the most surreal experiences of my life,” the Pulitzer Prize-nominated journalist and best-selling crime novelist told an audience of colleagues, family and friends gathered last Friday.

Clear bag policy in place for Davis Wade Stadium
In an effort to enhance fan safety, Mississippi State will implement a new clear bag policy for the 2016 football season at Davis Wade Stadium. The policy, which takes effect for the Sept. 3 season-opener against South Alabama, is consistent with the NFL's current model and being adopted by most Southeastern Conference schools this season, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Texas A&M, Tennessee and South Carolina.

DAFVM employees recognized for service
For outstanding service and achievements during the 2015-16 school year, Mississippi State’s Division of Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine is honoring more than two dozen employees. They were recognized during a recent university ceremony sponsored by Regions Bank.
‘We Ring True’ echoes across the state
Mississippi State University is ringing true all across the state. Facilities Manager Tracy Brown recently built a large cowbell for the North Mississippi Research and Extension Center in Verona. The center serves the needs of agriculture in northeastern Mississippi. It is part of MSU’s Division of Agriculture, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine.
Harvey named strength coach for women's hoops
Another up-and-coming coach has joined Mississippi State women's basketball, with Anthony Harvey bringing his experience at the college and NBA levels to Vic Schaefer's staff as the Bulldogs' strength and conditioning coach. Harvey comes to Starkville after spending the past four years in the NBA.
